The Forest Stewardship Council Supports Impact Job Days

FSC is the leader in sustainable forest management, operating the world’s most rigorous and trusted forest certification system.
Their “check tree” label is found on millions of products worldwide, verifying sustainable sourcing from the forest to store shelves.
56% of consumers around the globe recognize their label.

European Union

The EU contributes to the sustainable exploitation of Central Africa's natural resources with a view to mitigating and adapting to climate change and preserving global public goods. These include biodiversity and the Congo Basin forest.

For several years, the EU has relied on protected areas to promote a territorial approach to local development, in which preservation of natural resources and economic diversification form a win-win alliance.

Thus in the DRC, with financial support from the European Union, the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and its partners are implementing the FORETS (Training, Research and Environment in Tshopo), YPS (Yangambi Pole Scientifique) projects. and NPC (New Landscapes of Congo) in the Yangambi landscape (approx. 800,000 ha with the Yangambi Biosphere Reserve at its center) aimed at the preservation, restoration and improvement of biodiversity and the living environment of the populations.

For more than 20 years, Nature+ has specialized in the sustainable management of natural resources.

Composed of forestry experts, Nature+ supports managers of tropical natural environments by offering targeted interventions based on solid scientific bases. To this end, it works in close collaboration with the Central African Forest Research Center of TERRA – Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech – (University of Liège, Belgium).

To carry out its missions, Nature+ has developed numerous partnerships with public organizations and private companies in the Congo Basin committed to the sustainable management of natural resources with the support of international donors.
